Like the fact that this article brings to light the narcissism embedded in over-sharing in social networks such as facebook and twitter. It's amazing how people fight for privacy but at the same time a lot of people are willing to share their whereabouts on facebook, twitter, and geosharing etc. It's also strange how some people will go on and share pictures (mostly photoshopped) of events as simple as them eating breakfast, why? Is it the attention factor, the 3  minutes of fame? I feel like these sites have their own reality that is a reality away from the real reality. Plus, I think the worst part that we can all admit to is rampant stalking that goes on on facebook and reaching conclusions about someone just based on their facebook profile, which I think furthers superficiality and shallowness.

On the other hand, It does have its pros as well, it helps people keep in touch and network. We are social creatures after all and we do have the need to keep up socially, especially if we're not in Nepal and all of our friends are located  sporadically all over the world.

When you say people use facebook to share pictures and then bitch about privacy, please ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THEY ARE NOT ALWAYS THE SAME PEOPLE. How can you lump 800 million users into one freaking personna?

Secondly, learn to be ahead of the curve, sathi!

This is the future. You can't criticize a technology for being futuristic, you ape! Mark my words, when we advance ten years into the future, then twitter will be "popular" among nepalis. We are always behind on everything and as with all, this will take time to catch up to mainstream nepalis. 

but whatever the case why are you bashing on something that millions love and use? you want to be a unique hero? Go start your own company.

How can you lump 800 million users into one freaking personna? - it's not one personna, remember when newsfeed first came out? People put up groups etc etc bargaining about getting rid of newsfeed, I've seen those very people care little about the inappropriate pictures that show up on their feeds, not thinking twice about the ramifications. I didn't say everyone, I said a lot of people. I apologize I'm not a statistician by profession, I apologize if inaccuracies of my assumptions based on experience offended you. Besides privacy is only one of the aspects, I'm talking more about narcissism.
