I believe you can. there are many people who applies to canadian PR and also applies to green card in usa.

I am not sure any USCIS query with Canadian Immigration center. I believe these cases are independent. As mater of fact I have Canadian in hand and waiting US . If any body in this situation and any further info, let share info and appreciated all. God Bless North America.
