Is it true that the number of applicants for the H1 B visa this year has not been fulfilled yet. If the information is authentic I am planning to apply ASAP. Does anybody know if the information is correct. Also if anybody knows an immigration lawyer in Boston area, or can we file for ourself. 
Help appreciated.

Why don't you google or search on sajha before you open new thread?


As ofJuly 10, 2009, approximately 44,900 H-1B cap-subject petitions and approximately 20,000 petitions qualifying for the advanced degree cap exemption had been filed. USCIS will continue to accept both cap-subject petitions and advanced degree petitions until a sufficient number of H-1B petitions have been received to reach the statutory limits, taking into account the fact that some of these petitions may be denied, revoked, or withdrawn.

Thank you free h1B, I checked the USCIS website. But I am more concerned about my second question. If anybody knows immigration lawyer in Boston ?
